I visited Our Lady of Piat Church today. Being proud Catholic, I believe I have my obligations to my God. I will not talk about this more as I know this is something private between me and Him. Anyway I went to church with my cousins (Jenn and Jepoy) and with Nhiel (Jenn’s bf)  who went back home  from the City. We decided to have a quick tour after.

We went to Biuag and Malana Eco Park in Rizal Cagayan. Biuag and Malana is an epic from Cagayan well known from Ybanags. The story is about two men (Biaug and Malana) who fought for the lovely lady they both adore. FYI, Biaug and Malana now are tall mountains which became an attraction for local and tourists after the local Gov’t started to develop the place. Hiking Mt. Biuag and Malana, cable cart, cable biking and zip line are main activities to enjoy. Taking instagramable selfies to their foot bridge or hanging bridge is a must. A dip to the river is also encourage. Most of all the stunning green sceneries tends to mesmerize everyone's eyes.

Most importantly is to enjoy wherever you go and whatever you’ll do for your trip.  Always remember “Wherever you Go, Go with all your Heart”

Are you someone who really plan things ahead of time or someone who really enjoys “on the spur of the moment” feeling? I would love to learn more from you.

Boracay is widely known for it’s crystal blue water and powdery white sand beaches. Home for different water activities like parasailing, windsurfing, snorkeling, jet skiing and diving; nothing beats the warm feeling of welcoming locals in the island. There is helmet diving as well, AVT cars and many more that will surely awakens your thirst to extreme water adventures.

Personally, I really want to recommend Ariels Point. For PHP2500, guest will experience cliff diving, stand up paddling, snorkeling and  kayaking. Accommodating staffs will full your tummy with their mouth savoring buffet lunch and unlimited drinks that will surely give you courage to not miss their 5, 8 and 15 meters cliff dive spot. Ohh and please ready your dancing skill as the party starts and ends inside the Boat. Do not forget to make friends, it’s the secret to enjoy more.

Aside from the water adventure, there are many activities to enjoy. The locals offer hair braiding. Henna tattoo artists are everywhere. Souvenir shops and restaurants are scattered on the area. The place is full of people (especially Korean). It is actually a happy place for every one. It’s like a small world were every races are in and just simply enjoying, relaxing and beating the negative side of the world. The magic of the the turquoise water determines no black and white, and no rich and poor. Boracay escapade will never be complete without meeting foreign and local friends. It is a place to make friends and have fun with every one.

What else to offer you? I won’t miss to share you the lively night of Boracay. I can say that the beauty of this place can be seen at night. Talented locals can be seen performing everywhere. Fire dancing, singing and Artful sand making are among to enjoy while in the open bars. But if you’re the kind who loves dancing more than watching, the dance floor of Summer Place is ready for you. Ohh don’t forget that you have choices where to chill and dance because bars are from end to end.

For my 1 and half days and 2 nights stay in this place, I’m sure I haven’t seen everything yet. It can offer you more and I hope that the FUTURE Boracay will give more life remembering experiences to it’s local and tourist someday.

But as the saying goes, “Everything has to end”. I had to packed my bag with memories and go back home for my real life is waiting for me. The work, family and my friends are waiting for their “pasalubong” LOL. Honestly, it is always a challenge for me to get back home after travel, because aside from my bag which isn’t pack well, the long hours of journey way home is tiring. In my Boracay escapade, I traveled like 30hours to home. It was really tiring.

On my way home from NAIA 3, I decided to just booked a Grab to bus terminal. Well, for less hassle trip and 'twas the safest choice because it was like 8PM (Manila Time) already. After more than an hour, I reached my destination. I am dizzy and really tired already. I had to buy water from the nearest stall and found out that my wallet was lost. Thanks G because I have my friend who paid the water for me. I decided to call the driver, good thing he answered back. I told him that I might accidentally drop my wallet to his cab. After a short conversation, the driver gave back my wallet. My bad because I forgot to asked his name but the cab # is MS 2365.

I am super thankful that I found an honest person in this world full of lies. Just wanna shout out to Kuya Driver. Thanks for being honest and making me realized that a small act of honesty could change one’s perspective ‘bout people.

Let me share you some tips. I learned it in a hard way though LOL

 1. Know the place

Always consider the place or event you’re going to. Going to beach will need you to bring swimming attires and some summer dresses. Bringing heels and gowns is insane! Knowing the place is knowing what you need.

2. Make a Packing List

I suggest, to not forget anything essential, list down all things you’ll be needing. As much as possible, pack ahead of time.  This gives you time to purchase additional stuff you might need for your trip.

3. Use a spacious traveling bag

Some prefer to use compression bag to save space however if you don not have one, a space bag is also great, whatever your choice. It’s just sometimes you’ll go through some stressing process especially when there’s a need for baggage checking. Ok I’m making no sense here, what I only want to point out is actually to use a durable bags. I also suggest to pack your personal things like shampoo, toothpaste etc to a Ziploc. It a safe way to avoid your favorite clothes to stain.

4. Roll your clothes.

This where I suck. Rolling and folding do the same thing for me, a messy bag. But anyway, it is more suggested to roll the clothes when packing, they say it saves space.

5. Never forget to bring plastic bags

You can use it for garbage and dirty clothes. You don’t want to combine dirty stuff to your unused things of-course.

Most importantly know your airlines rule as well about baggage.Knowing it is a good way of strategizing your luggage. Remember to pack lightly for a hassle free trip. Ohh do not forget your passport,ID’s and your cameras.

Due to my lack of diligence to work today (lol), boredom strikes and a thought of searching the web for my skin problem will makes my time worth it. Until a certain article that connects Valentines caught my attention. Out of curiosity, I read the article and according to it, tho we use to celebrate it as a love day, Valentines had a dark origins. The article says that tho no one can really tell the exact origin, a good place to start is Ancient Rome, where men hit women. Hitting literally as they believed it will make them fertile. Interesting isn't it? Oh well this might be a good reason for those whose love status is Zero not to be happy on February 14, it’s a torture day (mmm should we spread this? lol). Raise your hands single ladies and men. 😁😁😁

Kidding aside and going back to present when February 14 is a day for love, there are hundreds even thousands or millions of suggestions Google has on how to make it special be you are on a relationship, relationshit, single or will celebrate with family and friends. Flowers, chocolates, bears and romantic dates are common gimmick but how to present it is the challenge. Personally I suggest that if you are planning to surprise your love ones this Valentines to:

1. Consider Comfort

Whatever you think is comfortable to do for your partner, friends, family and of course for yourself should always be consider first. This will be the first step on successful surprise gimmick. Yes, it’s always nice to try something new, but make sure it is something achievable. You might not think considering to buy bouquets when your date has an allergy of flowers. This will surely brings no good.

2. Aim for Success, Not Perfections

Who wouldn’t want a perfect day? Perfect foods, activities, a perfection for the preparations? Well in reality, instances happen. We should always consider that there might things that will ruin the day itself. In planning ahead, we should focus on ways on how the day will be of success. If you are of surprises and you need some help, never hesitate to ask someone who can lend a hand.

3. Make them feel they are well loved

Define love as yourself. Never forget that the goal is to make them feel extra special and well loved. Whatever ways you have, no matter how romantic or jologs it is,  always remember that the important thing is to be happy; both of you to be happy. Love should be showed and told. Actions and words are better together. Remember that the reason of the day is to love and be loved.

Piat is a small town in Cagayan Valley. Located on the South-west part of Cagayan, Piat is known for the rich culture of Itawes people. With its 18 Barangays, it has an approximately 24,000 population (2015 Census.)

Aside from it’s people, Piat has something to offer to devotees and tourists.

1. Basilica Minore of Our Lady of Piat

 With the numbers of devotee and tourists visiting the church, Our Lady of Piat is among the most venerated Marian images of Mary in Philippines. The church itself is full of history and mystery according to people. Widely known for the beliefs of Miracles that Our Lady of Piat shown to devotees, people from different parts of the Philippines continue to visit and pray for their intentions especially during the celebration of feast every July 1-2 of the year.

2. Sambali Festival

 Celebrated every June 23-July 2 of the year, Sambali Festival is among what Cagayanos looking forward to. It is a celebration of religious and cultural revival for Itawes people in commemoration of Christianization. Colorful shows, novenas, street dancing and more cultural presentations awaits every attendee.

3. Mouth watering delicacies

Visiting Piat will never be complete without a taste of it’s famous Pawa and other native delicacies which are sold at stalls around the church. This ground sticky rice with peanut filling is pack around 9-10 pieces and can last for 3-5 days. It is sold at 25 pesos per pack or can even bid it to 20 per pack depending on the number of packs you’ll get.

4. Bukal ng Buhay

Featured in tv shows like Rated K and Jessica Soho, Bukal ng Buhay raised an interest to devotees and tourists in Cagayan and beyond. Allegedly, this spring gives miracles and blessings. This become a crowd drawer after devotees share their stories on how they would get over illnesses and more.

5. Souvenirs

Opps! don't forget to buy a  souvenirs. They are everywhere.

These were just few among things to look forward when in Piat. Just recently, the LGU also open a mini park just near the market. There are also number of carinderias within the location. I suggest Carmelas Pancit Cabagan if you are craving for pansit.

It’s not bad to treat yourself at times. Eat foods you crave, shop or have a pamper time with yourself. De-stress, yourself needs it.

Anne’sRestaurant is one among the top resto in Tuguegarao City that offers mouth-watering foods and services. Just like a normal Filipino restaurant, pork, vegetable, seafood, beef and more are among the lists you can choose from their menu. Variety of shakes, non-alcohol and alcohol beverages are present. Of course, you won’t miss their sweet deserts too. But aside form their foods the ambiance of the place caught me more. It is relaxing, neat and cozy. 

Personally, I already tried different dishes on their menus.Among my favorite is the ensalada.or vegetable salad. Their plating includes eggplants, green pepper, okra (ochro), chopped tomato with onions and fried tilapia (St. Peter Fish) serve with fish sauce. The serving is good for 3-4 people.

Among their best is Pork Sinigang. With the right taste of sourness, the vegetables included are something to love. Their serving is good for 3-4 people. 

But my favorite on their list is Lumpiang Shanghai (Spring rolls) that uses ground pork and carrots as fillings. Match with sweet and sour sauce, this surely will be your new favorite once tasted.

I suggest you should visit them yourself at 135 Bonifacio St, Tuguegarao, 3500 Cagayan. 

When I’m not with my backpack and my favorite white sneakers, surely, I’m home with my Laptop and books. Who would have thought that someone like me who always on my phone is a book lover? Ohh please don’t judge me, my phone is my book shelf as well. I download e-books :D

Yeah yeah, you read it right, I am a book worm. I can read two books in one sitting time. I collect and make sure that every “me-time “- time I spend for my self like having a coffee break, shop, or travel outside my comfort zone (home) I buy books. Just want to say "hi" to my favorite author “Bo Sanchez.” He wrote so many good books.

Bonding with family and friends is an awesome way to end and start a New Year. Picnic on a park, watching movies and travelling together are common ways of fambam for a Filipino. 

Every Christmas there is a movie festival in Philippines. During this season, Metro Manila Film Festival showcase the talents of Filipino movie makers.The festival began with a traditional Parade in which every movie entry showcases their grandest designed float. Top performing lead stars receive awards as well.

My friend Elma and I planned to watch “The Revenger Squad” unluckily it is no longer showing in Xentro Mall Cabagan. We decided to watch Ang Panday instead. Ang Panday by Carlo J. Caparas' (lit. The Blacksmith) is a 2017 Philippine epic, fantasy action film based on the eponymous comic book character created by Carlo J. Caparas along with his subordinate Steve Gan. Serving as the seventh installment of the Pandayseries, the film is directed, produced and starred by Coco Martin in the title role. It is distributed and produced by Star Cinema along with Martin's own film company CCM Film Productions, and Viva Films. It is an action, comedy and fantasy film which fits the general audience. It is about the journey of Flavio (lead Star) in continuing the legacy of his family in protecting the people to Lizardo in spreading his evil plan.

Over all the movie is great! It’s a nice movie for family. What are you waiting for? Go for a date with your love ones and grab your ticket now! Showing is till January 07, 2018.
